DashBeam is an open-source peer-to-peer file transfer app for desktop, Android, web, and CLI. It lets you send files and folders anywhere in the world with no accounts and no cloud storage. It is built on the Iroh networking stack and uses ticket-based sharing with NAT hole punching and encrypted relay fallback.
Yes. DashBeam is free and open source (AGPL-3.0) with no file size limits, no upload quotas, and no accounts. If you benefit from this work, consider supporting development through Buy Me a Coffee or GitHub Sponsors.
You can transfer anything: images, videos, documents, folders, and more. Integrity checks use BLAKE3 on both ends, so files are verified during send and receive. Transfers are resumable if interrupted.
DashBeam uses end-to-end encryption with QUIC + TLS 1.3. Files go directly between devices and are not stored on a cloud server. Relays only see encrypted traffic. Tickets authenticate the intended sender before a transfer starts.
Unlike browser-only WebRTC tools, DashBeam is a native app (plus Android, web, and CLI) built on Iroh/QUIC. You can send large files and full folders with pause/resume, fewer browser limits, and BLAKE3-verified streaming. See our full comparison for details.
A network connection is required so devices can reach each other. On the same LAN/Wi-Fi, full internet is not required. Across different networks, internet is used for hole punching or encrypted relay fallback, so DashBeam works over the internet, not only on local Wi-Fi.
Yes. LocalSend is excellent for nearby devices on the same local network. DashBeam is built for the same frictionless feel across any network, local or across the internet, using Iroh tickets, QUIC encryption, and optional relays. Compare them on our LocalSend comparison page.
Yes. DashBeam is a free, open-source alternative to Blip (blip.net): unlimited file size, no accounts, end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer transfers, and apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and the web. See DashBeam vs Blip.
是的。DashBeam 是 AltSendme(也称为 Alt Send Me、alt-sendme 和 Altsendme)的新名称。它是同一个开源项目、同一个 GitHub 仓库,以及同一个点对点文件传输产品。
